Why Bronze

Not only me though, bronze was used as the metal of choice by the ancients too as it is a great substitute for those who want a gold look but without the cost, an important factor for some many. Bronze looks like gold, the difference in colour is not noticeable. However, more importantly, if you have ever felt the soft caress of bronze on your skin you will know it is one of the most under- rated metals around. Endlessly tactile, I find it improves with age, and responds almost like magic to the wearer - a sort of loving morph as it glows with it's loving feeling, responding to your touch, to your needs. Bronze is a wonderful medium both to work with and to wear, renowned for its strength and longevity, making it a fantastic and affordable option for jewellery.
BRONZE is (in my world at least) the new gold.

Healing your Heart

Like wearing the Sun.
It is good for healing your heart, especially useful if you find you have disconnected too much from your feelings, it warms up one's heart, a bit like the sun. Consequently helping increase self confidence you will find it can help you to take steps towards that which you desire. It helps alleviate stress, and keep negative energy at bay. It's also known for bringing good luck. Overall it will help you keep or find your balance again, and aid you in keeping an eye on your goals, your happiness especially.

Benefits

Said to help those with achy bones and joints
Composed mostly of copper (and a bit of tin), it holds the healing element of helping those with achy bones and joints. As you wear the jewellery a small amount of copper will absorb through your skin and also aid the nervous and circulatory system's health as well. Copper is very grounding and is capable of storing healing and protective properties. Wearing bronze and copper as jewellery will not overwhelm the body as it only takes in as much of the mineral it needs and this jewellery is extremely durable and last a lifetime if not longer if cared for properly.

Does Bronze Tarnish?

Yes, it oxidizes, tarnishes, over time - just like any other metal including Silver and Gold!
Metal reacting with the skin varies from person to person, and it is said that this is based on the pH level of your body (I have heard the more meat you eat the more likely your metals will tarnish) and of course how much you sweat will determine if metal turns green when you wear it. Humidity can also affect how much it oxidizes. From my experience it does not however turn clothes green. It is said that like copper and brass you should not go in the shower wearing your bronze pieces as it is said that this can also turn your skin green, and can tarnish. However, I have to say I have worn mine in the shower and it has not done this to my skin, and I always take care to make sure to dry my jewellery after, this helps.
Like all things in life It's a matter of trial and error, personal choice.
BUT (as an aside) If you are wearing a piece by me that comprises of crystals strung with silk, please do NOT wear these in the shower or whilst swimming. It will weaken the silk over time, particularly in contact with chlorine. Take if off, like your clothes! When cared for properly bronze jewellery will last a lifetime. Most of the time I have polishing buffing blocks available in accessories on my website, perfect for cleaning your metal jewellery and bringing them to a lovely bright sparking shine. Also, please note, all the bronze I use is Nickel free.

Our Mission

The art and jewellery pieces you find here will help transport you between the deeply mysterious and the wildlife connection. Always exalting deep contemplation and connection with the divine within my work.
It is my aim with my creations always to bring to you to place where you find peace and love in the space that you are, in the moment. Offering a little bit of help to be able to stay there, deep within, to healing energies, to nature energies, cosmic energies, the love of all things. To help you embrace and love any pain, shame, anxiety, fears you may be holding - so that they melt away. Of course, it's a process. And what we have around us has an impact on us, be it useful or detrimental. So it's important to surround ourselves with things that impact us positively. Speaking to that place within you that knows strength and courage. Encouraging you to then ACT upon it.
